The Village has a Self Care Residents’ Social Auxilliary and a Hostel Residents’ Forum. These are independent of the Village Management.
Contact may be made with the Secretary or Chairperson via the Village Office and Hostel.
The Board actively encourages Residents’ meetings and additionally invites all Residents to alternate monthly management meetings or social functions to provide direct access to Board members.
We are located at Chatswood, New South Wales and offer accommodation in a parkland setting, adjacent to Muston Park, located between Penshurst Street and High Street.
Our adjacent Hostel fronts Warrah Street and is a short pleasant walk across a covered bridge over Scott’s Creek, frequented by ducks and other wildlife.
The Village is approximately 3 kilometres from Chatswood railway station and shopping centre.
The Village is accessible by bus with two bus stops within 200 metres of the Village entrance. There are 4 weekday bus services per day & 5 each Saturday (bus service 275) to Chatswood with stop & shelter very close in Douglas Avenue. The Manly/Chatswood bus service 136 stops in High Street.
The closest major public hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital, is approximately 6 kilometres from the Village. A number of local general practitioner doctors visit the Village.
Inspections of Self Care and Hostel units may be arranged and vacant units may be seen. An appointment is necessary to view occupied units.
This ensures the privacy of our existing Residents.
